It all started for David in 1986, when he began his career in financial services. Having founded the business in 1993, David is semi-retired and, with his vast experience, has been a consultant to board since 2024.

Get to know David

When you’re not at work, how do you spend your time?

I’m a capable cook and love socialising and entertaining. I’m interested in nature and wildlife and enjoy most sports with an emphasis on rugby and football. My main passion is undoubtedly music.

What was your first job?

My first real job was as a music teacher but my first actual job was as a paperboy. I grew up in a pub so plenty of time was spent "behind bars".

What’s at the top of your bucket list?

It has to be a pretty big bucket! I’d like to see anything beautiful in nature: Aurora Borealis, a clear Milky Way, whale watching. Then there’s a Lions rugby tour and watching England play cricket in the West Indies.

Who inspires you?

My children, every time. I have two fantastic daughters.
